Two people great at the same thing will clash

The most important part of any business is usually by far the hardest to find. Firstly, I was lucky enough to have one of my best friends be my cofounder, but truthfully, the most important and integral part of any business is the people around you and the people building it. But we realized this from the beginning that we both had certain aspects that needed to coincide and need to fit into place to be able to build something special. My cofounder is the technical brain behind the startup. He's the one doing the coding. He built the app, and he's the one iterating every single update, every single week, and every single day. Personally, role that I play is I'm the head of growth. I'm the one keeping relationships, keeping connecting with people, and making sure that we are doing ultimately what we strive to do, is connect people. That's what our business is. That's what our business model is. But without the other person having their own specific role and pushing the other one up, it's so impossible to find the vision and really build something special. Because if you have two people who are great at the same thing, ultimately they'll one clash and two be missing so much that you need to build a business. Because I've told this to so many people, but you need to wear many different hats when you're first starting your startup. And that's something that I really valued with our relationship is that he has his specific hats that he wears. He has his specific roles that he excels in. And I personally have my certain roles that I excel in as well. And we need that dichotomy to be able to succeed and to be able to build out the vision that we have. And that's the beauty and the importance of having such a good team and cofounder around you so that you can excel at what you need to do and they can excel what they do to build something amazing.
